It is easy and comfortable to drive your own vehicle but it becomes a head-ache if it breaks down. You might not be able to find a garage or a mechanic at several places and these are the times when towing services are required. Nanaimo towing trucks provide other repair services as well and tow your car safely to the desired place.
Different types of towing trucks
There are four types of towing trucks and are explained below:
1.Flatbed tow trucks
Flatbed tow trucks are most common and are widely used for towing purposes. This type of truck has a long, flat bed attached the back that uses hydraulics to move it up and down. Towing is easy with flatbed trucks as they allow one to drive the vehicle up the ramp or get it pulled up. They also transport brand new vehicles or the ones that are damaged in accidents.
2.Integrated tow trucks
These trucks are extra stable as they have added numbers of axles. They are more specialized to tow heavy vehicles like buses.
3.Hook and chain tow trucks
Earlier in use but these are used to tow wrecked or damaged vehicles only now as the chain that wraps around the vehicle might damage it and puts a lot of pressure on the vehicle being towed.
4.Wheel-lift tow trucks
They tow a vehicle by hooking a metal yoke to the rear wheels. They have a similar mechanist to hook and chain trucks but are better than them as they cause less damage to the vehicle.
